As self-ordained leader of the pack, Aries fights for what they perceive to be important. It's not that they are fearless. The apparent courage is more of a commitment to face their fears and overcome them.

Taurus are noted for their determination. They always manage to get to where they are going, not because they are exceptionally fast or clever, but because they will not be distracted from their goals. Their attraction to material things is less about the objects themselves than it is about the pleasure that they bring.

Gemini May 21 - June 20

Life Pursuit: To explore a little bit of everything.

Geminis are curious, talkative, versatile and mentally active. their minds can bounce around from one topic to another with great ease. They have a razor-sharp wit and can have them verbally dueling as the very best of opponents. They also have an easy acceptance of opposites, giving them the ability to effectively argue both sides of the same argument.

Cancer June 21 - July 22

Cancers can hold onto things, especially from the past. They are fiercely loyal and have a difficult time letting go of things that they should or even showing their emotions to their partners. A Cancer's love is protective, but unless it's tempered, it can be rather smothering.

Leos tend to live their life straightforwardly and with a flair for drama. In fact, many Leos are attracted to the theater, the performing arts and public relations, for they truly do understand the importance of putting on a good presentation. Leos are warm of spirit, eager for action and are driven by a desire to be appreciated

Virgo August 23 - September 22

Life Pursuit: To do the right thing.

Virgos have the uncanny sense to see what's wrong with a person, a situation or an environment. It's why they make great critics. Their practical analytical abilities are second to none, and although their mental process may not be the most creative their razor-sharp thinking is highly effective. They can also be such perfectionists, that they are sometimes rather annoying.

Libra September 23 - October 22

Libras really do fit their symbol, they tend to balance everything they touch. Libras strive to balance form, content, colors and elements, and for this reason can be many of them are drawn toward creative endeavors. The greatest balancing act is between self and others, and it is here that many Libras focus their energy, as a charming host or hostess.

Scorpions are the detectives of the zodiac, they think that what is hidden is much more interesting than what is obvious and love nothing better than a good mystery. But they can also be secretive themselves, learning early in life that when they express their emotions that others may actually be scared by the power of their feelings.

Sagittarius November 22 - December 21

Sagittarians are hunting for ideas and experiences that draw them into greater awareness. As such, Sagittarians tend to love adventure, travel and philosophy, all ways of extending beyond their immediate surroundings. Sagittarians tend to aim their thoughts upward, being the incurable optimists of the zodiac. Sagittarians are honest to a fault, they sometimes say what's on their mind before realizing that someone's feelings might get hurt.

Capricorns set high goals for themselves and then overcomes whatever obstacles may appear between them and their goal. Aquarius January 20 - February 18

Life Pursuit: To understand life's mysteries.

Aquarians can be interested in concepts and ideas. Because of its universality, Aquarians can seem somewhat detached from personal emotions. It's not that they don't have feelings; it's just that theirs are different from most others. Most of them can also be good communicators as long as they stay in the mental realms, but are very uncomfortable dealing with emotions.

Pisces February 19 - March 20

Symbol: The Fish
Your ruling planet: Neptune
Your stone: Bloodstone
Life Pursuit: To avoid feeling alone and instead feel connected to others and the world at large.

Pisces are spiritual in nature and emotional in expression. Pisces intuition and imagination are at once their strengths and weakness. They are attracted to the mystical side of things, and herein lay potential danger, for when pulled beneath the currents of everyday life, the realms of imagination and the subconscious offer little structure. Without the foundation of reality, it becomes easy to flounder and to lose direction.
